MAK Home - 213 Adams
The original design of 213 Adams, an American Foursquare in the Arts & Crafts style, had suffered many changes and “modernizations” through the years, including the unfortunate painting and alteration of its exterior and changes, and in some cases removal, to its interior wood trim and details.
As soon as they purchased the house, the current owners initiated an extensive restoration of the home’s period details. First, the remaining interior woodwork was stripped of years of paint and then, repaired and restored to its original finish. Second, features of the home that have been covered, or removed, by years of renovation were painstakingly restored to period conditions. Finally, the home’s exterior painted brick was sensitively stripped and the exterior was returned to its original finish and painted in colors and style popular with the home’s original period.
The home is a 4-bedroom, 2-bath with approximately 2,232 square feet of living space and a front porch that spans the width of the house.
